Nigerian singer, songwriter and music producer, Timi Dakolo has attracted reactions from social media users, as he says ‘Nigeria as a country needs a YouTube Channel’.
Timi Dakolo was born in Accra, Ghana to a Nigerian father, Bayelsa-native David and a Ghanaian mother, Norah, who died when Dakolo was thirteen years old.
Timi started singing in church at the age of twelve. In 2003, he joined the singing group Purple Love as a founding member. They dominated the Port Harcourt club circuit, but disbanded in 2005 as all its members had gained admission into the University of Port Harcourt.
In a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter, Timi said that the recently happenings in Nigeria is just like a Hollywood movie.
He also added that, Nigeria as a country is suppose to have its own YouTube Channel
“Nigeria as a country,needs a YouTube channel.”
