Chadwick Boseman Posthumously Nominated For 78th Golden Globe Award

Before actor Chadwick Boseman’s demise, he had played his last film dubbed Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

The late Black Panther actor starred in the Netflix film alongside celebrated How To Get Away With Murder actress Viola Davis.

Well, months after its release, his work was honoured recently after he was nominated for a very important award. 

Celebrity-profile.com understands the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced recently in a move that saw Chadwick get a posthumous nomination. 

For those in the dark, the Annual Golden Globe Awards is a feat that celebrates the best in television and film.

According to CNN, Netflix led in both television and film nominations, with the drama Mank, leading with six nominations.

Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 at the age of 43, received a posthumous nomination for his role in the earlier mentioned Netflix film. 

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom film was based on an old Broadway Play created by August Wilson back in 1982.

The movie was released in theatres in November 2020 and later streamed on Netflix after a month.
