“Staying Poor Because You Love God Is Stupidity” – Reno Omokri

Nigerian human right activist and lawyer, Reno Omokri has expressed his opinion on Christians choosing to remain poor because of their love for God.

Omokri was the host of Transformations With Reno Omokri, a Christian teaching program broadcast on Comcast, DISH Network and Roku.

Taking to his Twitter page today, 9th July 2021, the renowned author stating that God wants us to help the poor thus, anyone that is staying poor because he/she loves God is unintelligent. 

According to him, doing that doesn’t mean the person is humble adding that it shows how stupid the person is.

He tweeted;

“Staying poor because you love God is not humility. It is stupidity. God wants you to help the poor. That is why He made you and put you here. Having money increases your ability to help people. Yes, the poor need prayers. But they need payers even more. Be a payer.”
