Burna Boy’s 2018 smashing tune, ‘Ye’ has now been certified Gold in the United Kingdom by the BRITs Award organizers.

The good news was announced by the BRITs via their official Twitter on Friday, September 17th, 2021. They wrote;

“Burna Boy’s massive 2018 track ‘Ye’ has gone #BRITcertified Gold!”

Two songs were certified gold in the UK by the BRIT’s this week, and they were ‘Ye’ by Burna Boy, and ‘Anybody’ by Canadian singer, Justin Bieber. Other artists that got silver certifications this week in the UK are Lil Nas X, Harry Stytles, Taylow Swift, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, TY Dolla Sign, and Jack Harlow.

Producer by Phantom, “Ye” was released in 2018, as the sixth single from his third studio album “Outside” .

After its release, “Ye” went on to become a global hit, peaking at number 26 and 31 on Billboards Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts. It also won Song of the Year and Listener’s Choice at the 2019 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
