Davido Set To Build Basketball Courts Across Africa
Popular Nigerian singer and DMW boss, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to partner with ‘Giants Of Africa’ and Masai Russell, to build basketball courts across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
This was made by the singer via series of post he shared on his verified Instagram page.
Taking to his Insta-story, Davido revealed that the project serves as a means to educate and improve the lives of African youths.
This is coming after the DMW boss revealed that he got into a lot of trouble with the Nigerian government during the #EndSars protest in 2020.
Speaking to Trevor Noah, he said;
“I did not record that song thinking that was going to happen. Honestly, it is amazing how I saw my voice be an instrument for the people. It was amazing…I got into a lot of trouble, I got into a lot of trouble. I had to actually leave the country it was that bad because I got into a lot of trouble,”
“It was amazing to see people come out like that. I’ll tell you this, they listened, they heard us. They might have changed nothing but they were shocked.”
