Shatta Wale Arrested For ‘Faking’ The Shooting Incident
Popular Ghanaian singer, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for spreading fake information.
On Tuesday, news broke about Shatta Wale being shot by unknown gunmen. The news was later confirmed by the crooner’s Personal Assistant, Nana Dope via his Snapchat handle.
In response, Ghanaian police stated on Facebook that they were looking for the singer, whose whereabouts was unknown at the time.
In the early hours of today, the Ghana Police service took to their official Facebook page once more to release a statement, revealing that Shatta Wale is currently in their custody.
The statement reads;

“The Police have arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale. After we publicly declared him and one other person wanted, the suspect, Shatta Wale, turned himself in today Tuesday 19th October 2021, at 8.59 pm.
“He has been arrested to assist the Police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic. As stated in previous statements, the public is advised to desist from publishing false information, capable of disturbing the peace of the country or risk being arrested and prosecuted.”
