How I forced Asake to be on ‘Timeless’ album – Davido Reveals (Video)

David Adeleke aka Davido, a Nigerian artist and music executive, has disclosed how he persuaded Asake to appear on his current album, “Timeless.”

The DMW creator, who has stated that he is a big fan of Asake, featured him on “No Competition,” one of the album’s booming tunes.

During a conversation with journalist Adesope Olajide, Davido revealed that he did not contact the ‘Sungba’ crooner directly, but instead coerced him to join the track through his record label boss, Olamide.

OBO stated that he sneaked into Olamide’s direct message and informed him that he wanted to work with Asake, and the rapper quickly asked him to provide the song.

Davido went on to say that he submitted it to Baddo’s WhatsApp, but it couldn’t be done right away because he was on tour.

Also, the FEM crooner stated that Asake prefers to record when Olamide is present in the studio, thus they had to wait until both boss and signee were present.

According to the DMW chief, the Yoga singer recorded his part on it and returned the music to him after a week.
