A Nigerian guy believes that Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is the main reason why Afrobeat is now widely embraced around the world.

According to a social media user named as David, he stated on his handle that Wizkid is the greatest singer and that no other musician should be compared to him.

This comes only days after the Grammy winner reportedly sold out his O2 Arena ticket in London in less than 13 minutes.

The announcement generated a flurry of emotions from music fans around the world, as well as other celebrities, who flocked to his social media accounts to congratulate him on his incredible achievement.

However, others have reacted to his post in the comments section, with some objecting to him, claiming that Afrobeat was recognized internationally long before Fela’s heyday, and that even if Wizkid is making everyone proud, he isn’t the best.
