Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, a Nigerian musician, recently claimed in an interview that his first hit, “African Queen,” was both a blessing and a curse for him.

The musician, who has had a number of popular hit songs and albums, said that his 2004 hit song, “African Queen,” was a blessing because it catapulted him into the spotlight and helped him win local, national, and international awards.

In Nigeria, his music earned him the moniker “King of R&B.”

However, he added that the song’s success appeared to be a curse because his subsequent albums were constantly compared to “African Queen,” his breakout hit.

He also talked about how the success of his first big hit will always outweigh the success of his subsequent songs.

In other news, legendary singer 2Face Idibia has chastised Nigerians for blaming President Buhari for everything that goes wrong in the country, saying it’s absurd to hold him responsible for everything.

The success and failure of the country are blamed on you as a leader, which is why most Nigerians blame President Buhari for everything that happens in the country, but 2Face Idibia appears to disagree with that hasty generalization.
