“Back Up Your Prayer With Work”– Yemi Alade

Nigerian Afro-pop singer, actress and activist, Yemi Alade has taken to social media to advise those who pray for success but refuses to work hard.

The “Johnny” hit-maker took to her verified social media handle on popular social platform, Twitter on Friday 18th June, 2021, dropping few words for those that always pray but do nothing.

The award-winning singer said that if one doesn’t back up his/her prayers with work it will result to nothing.

Adding that as people pray they should also see to it that they do some sort of work if they want success.

She twittered;

“Prayer without work = no result …. work and pray.”

Yemi Alade rose to fame with her record breaking hit single “Johnny” produced by Selebobo. The song soon became a street anthem in Nigeria and also dominated music harts across Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and many others.

She has also been featured on the covers of several magazines and performed around the world, sharing stages with the likes of Mary J Blige, Sir Shina Peters, Becca, M.I, Wizkid, May D, Waje, Yemi Sax and so on.
