#BBNaija: “My father was poisoned to death, my mother abandoned me as a baby” – Chichi shares traumatic childhood experience (Video)
Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, better known as Chichi, has opened up to fellow Big Brother Naija housemate, Deji, about her traumatic childhood experience.
In a recent interview with Deji, the exotic dancer revealed that her father was poisoned to death and her mother abandoned her as a child.
Chichi claims she never knew motherly love because she was abandoned by her mother as a baby and raised by her father until his untimely death.
Chichi told Deji that she doesn’t like talking about that part of her life because it makes her very emotional.
Chichi’s handler, on the other hand, provided additional details about her life in an Instagram post following the revelation:
“A story she always struggles to share cause it opens up old wounds that never fully heals. She doesn’t talk about this part of her life, but this girl right before you is an orphan and an only child, she never got the chance to know what it feels to have a mom. She was abandoned by her mom and she grew up with her dad, only to lose him at a tender age.
“She had to fend for herself, to fight. She wanted more from life, and she knew she had to work for it all by herself. People wonder where her competitive side came from, people wonder why she’s been so defensive, she has never had anyone to do that for her. Now having you all by her side, rooting for her, defending her, and loving her is the biggest blessing in her life ❤️”.
