In a passionate speech posted to his social media page, the seasoned actor Kelvin Ikeduba expressed his feelings regarding the dearth of naira in the nation.
The popular actor reportedly bemoaned how crucial the state of the nation is given the situation surrounding the old and new naira notes in a video posted on March 8, 2023, on his verified Instagram page.
He thinks that many areas of the nation are confused, and he is unsure which area is more confused than the others. This is a result of recent events that have occurred in the nation.
Prior to this, Godwin Emefiele, the current governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), issued a memo setting the 10th of February 2023 as the deadline for using high-value notes of the Naira denominations of 1000, 500, and 200.
However, many people were unable to access it because the new notes were not distributed widely enough. The supreme Court decided against the deadline and extended it to December 2023 after much debate with some of the nation’s governors.
