“Body No Be Firewood”— Actress, Mary Njoku To Men Who OverWorks Their Wieves

Nigerian actress and Director General of the award-winning Lagos-based film house, ROK Studios, Mary Njoku has complained bitterly how womwn are being over-worked in the society.

Mary is one of the most influential actresses in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $500,000.

She made her acting debut in the 2004 Nollywood movie ‘Home Sickness’, which she featured alongside Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha.

Njoku is also the founder of iROKtv, a YouTube platform that featured interviews with Nigerian celebrities, as well as coverage of Afrobeats and Nollywood events.

Mary Njoku made a post on her Instagram page, saying that women are humans and not robots therefore women can only choose one to do and not do both.

She wrote;

“Haba!! Body no be firewood . We have to either choose one or do a little of BOTH. And Oga has to do a little of BOTH too. To create a balance. Women are humans, not robots!!
A friend’s husband just complained to me that his wife does nothing to support him. ‘She just sits at home with the boys and eats’
Imagine . 4 sons under 10!!!
Anyway I don’t think her husband will ever speak to me again .

Time for a workout!! “
