The Official video of Grammy-award winning song “Brown Skin Girl” has secured the ‘Excellence in music video’ Award at the Cannes Lions Awards 2021.

Wizkid’s official fan page took to their Instagram page on Wednesday, the 23rd of June 2021, to shared the good news.

Sharing a photo, @wizkidnews revealed that Big Wiz and Beyonce’s collaboration, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ has won the “Excellence in Music Video” award at the 2021 Cannes Lions Festival.

The wrote;

The music video for “Brown Skin Girl” was featured in Beyoncé’s 2020 film ‘Black Is King’ and was released separately on August 24, 2020. Directed by Beyoncé and Jenn Nkiru, the video acts a celebration and affirmation of the beauty of dark-skinned women.
