Burna Boy Celebrates His Grandfather’s 85th Birthday In Grand Style, Performs Fela’s Song(Video)

African giant and Grammy-award winner, Burna Boy has celebrated his grand-father’s 85th birthday in grand style by performing musical legend, Fela hit-song “Lady”.

Benson Idonije is a Nigerian broadcaster and music critic popularly known for being the first band manager of Afro-beat musician Fela Kuti. Regarded as one of Nigeria’s most revered music critics, he was part of the pioneering group of broadcasters who started Radio Nigeria 2 (now Metro FM) in 1977.

In 2012, The Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism awarded Benson Idonije the Life Time Award for Journalism Excellence.

The birthday celebration reportedly took place on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
