Nigerian singer, Omah Lay, has announced the title for his debut album which it still yet to have a release date but is now known to his fans as “Boy Alone”. 

The sensational singer made this revelation via his Twitter page on Friday, the 17th of September 2021. Omah wrote;

“Album title >>> BOY ALONE”

The “Understand” crooner, has being hinting on an album for some months now. According to him, his upcoming album was inspired by the events in Uganda. Recall that Omah Lay and Nigerian R&B singer, Tems, were arrested in Uganda for violating Covid-19 protocols.

“Uganda was such an experience you know. It’s a lot that happened. Actually I went to Uganda for an event… we went legally. Completely legal. It happened the way it happened. I really cannot start picking out details but there was supposed to be like COVID clearance. Everything, like you know, was sorted out before we got there as a matter of fact.”

The police were present and everything and we did the whole thing. But you know, it has happened. It happened the way it happened. It’s something that I learned a lot from and I’ve moved past it already so.” Omah told Ebuka Obi-Ucehndu.

Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay rose to stardom after the success of his success of his song “Bad Influence” which was followed by his debut EP, “Get Layd”.

Songs like Bad Influence, Damn, and Lo Lo off the EP, spent months on the charts and gave the singer a much needed star status.
