‘Essence’ By Wizkid Makes History On US Apple Music Top 50 Chart
‘Essence’ by Wizkid and Tems has broken yet another record by entering the top 50 chart on Apple Music for the US.
“Essence” is a song by Nigerian singer Wizkid featuring Tems. The song was released with Wizkid’s fourth studio album “Made in Lagos”.
Since its release “Essence” has become a major hit, featuring on Barack Obama’s favourite songs of 2020 playlist. In January 2020 it peaked #2 on UK Afrobeats Singles Chart top 20.
Celebrities like Snoop Dogg, P Diddy, kevin hart and others have also shared videos of themselves vibing to “Essence” in their spare time and at public occasions.
“Essence” has made yet another ground breaking record, securing number 48 spot on the Apple Music US Top 100 Chart.
This was also confirmed by Twitter page @AfricaFactsZone, who claim ‘Essence’ is the first African song to achieve this feat. AFZ writes;

Wizkid’s Essence ft. Tems has become the first African song to make it to the US Apple Music Top 50 Songs.
It has moved to no. 48 on the chart.
