Popular Nigerian entertainers Falz, Chioma Akpotha, and other voters reportedly came under attack in the voting booths they went to in Lagos state to cast their ballots.
There are currently 18 candidates running for president of Nigeria, the country’s highest office. Millions of Nigerians have visited their voting locations to cast their ballots in support of the candidates they prefer. Celebrities are also not excluded from the occurrence.
After a popular Instagram live video of the attack on Falz and a few other voters in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos state went viral, the rapper became a trending topic on Twitter.
Reports claim that the rapper’s phone was taken from him, which sparked online reactions in which many people voiced their displeasure.
In his most recent post on his Instagram story, Falz thanked all of his fans for asking how he was doing and added that everything was fine. He added that he had received his phone and hadn’t yet cast his ballot.
