‘Fela is been Studied in Universities Abroad’ – Nobody should compare Wizkid and Fela – Woli Arole reveals

Woli Arole, a popular Instagram comedian and actor, has spoken out against the internet trend that compares Fela Kuti to Wizkid. Some people have been comparing Wizkid to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti because of the records that Wizkid has broken in African music.

Many people believe Wizkid has accomplished more than Fela Anikulapo Kuti did while he was alive, while others believe Wizkid is not yet on equal level with Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

Woli Arole stated that no one should ever compare Wizkid with Fela Anikulapo Kuti in his presence. He claimed that when he went to a school in London to study filmmaking, a lecturer asked him where he was from, and he replied that he was from Nigeria. He instantly stated that he is from Nigeria. He was surprised that a white man could know Fela Anikulapo Kuti when the instructor inquired if he knew him.

As a result, he realized that Fela Anikulapo Kuti was a brilliant musician, and while he didn’t deny Wizkid’s greatness, he felt they shouldn’t be compared.
