Femi Kuti, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, And Davido To Perform At The Global Citizen Live Concert 2021 In Africa

Nigerian superstars, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido and Femi have all been selected to perform at the Global Citizen Live concert 2021.

The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival started in 2012 and organized by Global Poverty Project. In honor of the late Nelson Mandela’s life and call to end extreme poverty, the Global Citizen’s campaign aims to rally US$1 billion in new commitments, with US$500 million of that set to impact the lives of 20 million women and girls worldwide.

2021 edition of the Global Citizen Live concert with the theme; “Defend The Planet, Defeat Poverty”, will take place in cities like Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, New York City, Paris, London, Seoul, Los Angeles, and Sydney. It will be a total showdown at the Upcoming Global Citizen Live Concert 2021 in Africa, as top Nigerian artists like Femi Kuti, African giant Burna, Tiwa Savage, and Davido have been announced part of the top lineups of performers.

The roster for this year’s Global Citizen Live concert was announced by the organizers via their official Instagram page on Tuesday, the 13th of July 2021.

They wrote;

Live across 6 continents, this 24-hour, once-in-a-generation broadcast + livestream event will bring the world together to defend the planet & defeat poverty. Tap the link in bio for more.”

Also included in the lineup this year concert are Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Andrea Bocelli, Angélique Kidjo, Billie Eilish, BTS, Camila Cabello, Coldplay, Demi Lovato, DJ Snake, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, H.E.R., Keith Urban, Lizzo, Lorde, Metallica, Rag’n’Bone Man, Ricky Martin, Shawn Mendes, The Lumineers, The Weeknd, and Usher. More locations and artists will be unveiled later on.
