Funke Akindele: In my first marriage, ‘I was abused and blackmailed domestically.’
Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has spoken out about how her ex-husband, Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, tortured and blackmailed her at home.
According to Cutie Julls, an Instagram blogger, the actress detailed her ordeal in a scene of her self-produced hit comedy series, Jeniffer’s Diary, which aired on Scene One TV on July 18, 2021.
In an attempt to ruin her reputation and brand, the actress revealed how her previous husband verbally abused her and threatened to go public if she ever left the marriage.
According to the actress, her ex-husband ended their marriage over the phone while she was on the set of a film. This had a mental and physical impact on her, and she lost many endorsement opportunities as a result.
She, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to God for blessing her with a better man, JJC Skillz, and a set of twin sons. Funke Akindele responds to a fan who accuses her of being stingy by refusing to participate in a contest.
Some social media users who claimed to have known Funke Akindele when she was still married to her ex-husband confirmed the tale while thanking God for her life.
