Funke Akindele Movie ‘Omo Ghetto’ Breaks Record As First Nigerian Movie To Be Released In Dubai Cinemas

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele is set to achieve great success for her Nigerian movie industry as her movie, Omo Ghetto become the first Nigerian movie to be released in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai cinemas.

Funke who could not keep her excitement to herself, took to her social media page to announce to her fans all over the world that, Omo Ghetto would be premiered on January 21, in UAE cinemas.

Omo Ghetto: The Saga is also known as Omo Ghetto 2 is a 2020 Nigerian trilogy comedy film co-directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz. The film stars Funke Akindele, Nancy Isime and Eniola Badmus in the lead roles.

The film was released to the cinemas on 25th December 2020 and was opened to extremely positive reviews from critics. The film became a box-office success and surpassed the Fate of Alakada as the highest-grossing Nigerian film for the year 2020.
