G.O.A.T: “Essence” By Wizkid & Tems Smashes New Record on US Apple Music Top 10
Wizkid’s “Essence” featuring Nigerian R&B singer, Tems has hit a major millstone, becomes the first African song to enter the US Apple Music top 10.
The track 11 on Wizkid’s fourth studio album “Made In Lagos” has been on the US Apple Music top 50 for a few weeks and the song has claimed to the top 10, charting at Number 9.
Taking to their official Instagram page, @wizkidnews announced the new milestone.
They wrote;

“Essence” is officially in the Top 10 on the US Apple Music chart. It’s the first African song to do this and the highest-charting one. #MadeinLagos
Apart from the Top 10 US Apple Music chart, ‘Essence’ has broken countless records both in Nigeria and beyond. The song has gained over 15 million views on YouTube, secured the no. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and just recently topped the Billboard World Digital Songs Sales chart.
