“He should stand by his decision & decl!ne any offer till next year” – Davido criticized over decision to perform at World Cup closing
Daniel Regha, a well-known Twitter critic and social media analyst, has criticized famed musician David Adeleke alias Davido in light of speculations that he may perform at the World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar.
The announcement comes after Chinese business tycoon Stephen Hung posted on Instagram that Davido had confirmed his participation in the World Cup closing ceremony, sparking enthusiasm among supporters.
He wrote:
“So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony.
Can’t wait to see him there”
Regha, who is known for being the first to criticize celebrities’ actions, reacted to this by saying that Davido should turn down any offers until the following year, just as he did with his A.W.A.Y Festival.
In his words:
“Davido will be performing at the World Cup closing ceremony (reportedly), glad he’s feeling better but I d¤n’t think that’s a smart decision since he already postponed his A.W.A.Y festival by one year; He should stand by his decision & decl!ne any offer till next yr. No offense.”
