James Bond Star, Daniel Craig Reveals Why His Children Won’t Get “Inheritance”

English actor, Daniel Craig, best known for playing “James Bond”, has revealed that none of his children will get his fortune.

The popular actor made this known during an interview he recently had with UK’s Candis Magazine.

Speaking to UK’s Candis Magazine, the award-winning British actor said that he does not plan on leaving his children a fortune.

He also said that he found the concept of an inheritance distasteful and he thinks it is better to get rid of it or give it away before you go.

“to leave great sums to the next generation” and plans to give his riches away instead.

”My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go.

”There’s an adage that if you die a rich person, you’ve failed.

 

“I think Andrew Carnegie gave away about $11 billion, which shows how rich he was but I’ll bet he kept some of it too.

“As for me, I don’t want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful,”

despite playing one of the most iconic characters in film history, the intensely private Craig, who was born in Chester, said he had no interest in celebrity.

He said:

“It’s nothing I should complain about really because I also have huge benefits out of being who I am.

“But the fact is that privacy is a hugely important part of my life, and this being a… celebrity… makes me nervous, actually.”

Craig has a three-year-old daughter and stepson with his current wife, Oscar winner Rachel Weisz – and an adult daughter, Ella, with his ex-wife, actress Fiona Loudon.
