HIS CARD. Born in A Coruña on May 2, 1935, he was considered one of the best players of his generation. He began his career with  Deportivo and made his professional debut in 1953, for Deportivo La Coruña before moving to Barcelona , ​​where he won two editions of the Spanish league, the national cup and the fairs cup. In 1961 he joined Inter , a team with which he won three Italian championships  (1962-1963, 1964-1965 and 1965-1966) as well as  two European Cups (1963-1964 and 1964-1965) and as many Intercontinental Cups. With the Spanish national team he made 32 appearances and scored 14 goals, participating in the victorious home edition of the 1964 European Championship and in  two World Cups , in 1962 and 1966. On an individual level he put the  1960 Ballon d’Oron the bulletin board , becoming the first and only Spaniard to win the prestigious award offered by France Football.
