Mercy Chinwo has taken to social media and wrote an open letter to women participating in the Silhouette Challenge.

The Silhouette Challenge involves females who want to show the world how beautiful their bodies are by going nak3d under a filter erected against a red background, as it defines the silhouette itself.

The Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter who won the Nigerian Idol Season 2 in 2012 reacting to this took to her official Instagram handle and urged women to carry themselves with dignity and not follow every trend online like the Silhouette challenge as she asked women to desist from imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around them.

Dear women, you don’t have to follow every trend.  Carry thyself with dignity, know your worth.. this is why you are different,” she wrote.

Let your light so shine before men so that they may see your good works (Lifestyle, character) and glorify your father in heaven.. #ISTANDAGAINSTSILHOUTTECHALLENGE.”
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you. But be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.Romans 12:2. She wrote.
