Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video was record breaking since the first day it was released on YouTube back in August, 2014. Following the video’s release, it broke the 24-hour streaming record on Vevo by accumulating 19.6 million views in its first day of release.

As of August 5, 2021, the video has gained more than 1 billion views, being the first female rap solo song to do so. Billboard also named “Anaconda” the 13th greatest video of the decade.

Nicki Minaj recently took her Instagram page, to celebrate her seven-year-old “Baby Got Back”-sampled single by sharing some behind-the-scenes moments.

She captioned it;

“7 years later. Who remembers witnessing the internet break when I dropped this picture?”
