“Nigerian actors are your best bet” – Ini Edo makes public appeal to 50 Cent following his upcoming ‘Hushpuppi series’

For his new Hushpuppi series, American rapper 50 Cent has received a request from Nollywood actress Ini Edo to select a Nigerian actor.

Ini Edo asserts that a Nigerian actor will be fit for the lead part in the Hushpuppi television series.

Earlier in his career, 50 Cent produced popular television shows like Power, Power Book II, and Power Book III: Raising Kanan. On Wednesday night, he announced via Instagram that he will adapt Hushpuppi into a tale.

He wrote:

“For my scammers I gotta do this one, Hushpuppy series coming soon! GLGGreenLightGang I don’t miss,”

Ini Edo responded in the post’s comment section on Thursday, saying it would be ideal to use a Nigerian actor for the part.

She wrote:

“You’re welcome, Nigerian actors are your best bet,” the actress wrote.

Fellow actress Uche Jombo had earlier urged the Hollywood star to cast a Nigerian actor for the role.

She said, “Please give a Nigerian actor the opportunity to play this character.”
