Nigerians And Ghanaians Love To Hate Each Other, Ghanaian Singer Stonebwoy Says

In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, talented Ghanaian singer, Stonebwoy share some details about his career.

The music said he liked to be described as an Afro-dancehall artiste due to his influences from Afrobeats and Reggae.

During the interview, Stonebwoy spoke on foreign collaborations and how important they are. According to him, he did not gain prominence off of foreign collaborations but it is the way to go right now.

The 33-year-old star said that if an artiste manages to lay their hands on bigger names to collaborate with, it make it easy for the exposure but it doesn’t necessarily solidify the content.

Stonebwoy said:

Collaborations is not a ground for testing, it is a ground for ‘let’s get the best out of the both of us’.

When asked if he felt African music has arrived, Stonebwoy said that African music has gotten to a place that hasn’t been reached yet in our present time. According to him, there has never been a better time like this.

He also added that it is good to make the best of this period because our present will become what the future would build upon.

As expected, the musician was asked to comment on the rivalry that seemed to be prominent between Ghanaians and Nigerians despite the love they have for each other.

Stonebwoy further said that Nigerians and Ghanaians loved to hate each other.
