The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Chibuzor Chinyere, has kept his word by providing a Mini estate and a car to the late Deborah Samuel’s parents. According to the pastor, the automobile would be used by Garba Emmanuel, the father, to launch a “Uber business.”

Deborah, a 200-level student at Sokoto’s Shehu Shagari College of Education, was allegedly stoned and burned on the school grounds for blaspheming the Prophet Muhammad.

Her murder provoked outrage across the country, with many urging the two suspects apprehended in connection with the crime to be prosecuted as soon as possible.

Following the terrible tragedy, Apostle Chinyere requested assistance in contacting the late Deborah’s family, expressing his willingness to support them. Following the murder of their eldest daughter, the pastor posted this appeal on his verified Facebook page on Monday, May 16, in response to the parents’ resolve not to send any of their children to school again.

The generous pastor stated that he would be willing to house them in one of his church’s free estates, where they would not be required to pay rent.

Deborah’s parents, who have arrived in Port Harcourt, posted on Facebook on Tuesday, May 24, that he had presented a mini estate of 14 blocks of flats to Deborah’s grandparents.

He posted photos of the flats and the car alongside those of the bereaved family of Deborah.

The pastor said:

“In fulfilment of my earlier promise and in honour of the late Deborah Samuel, I, on behalf of the Omega Power Ministry, relocated and donated a 14-flats-mini estate and a Corolla car, for Uber business, to her family in Port Harcourt.” The estate was registered in their name immediately. May God take all the glory and honour. Amen! ”
