Brazilian former professional footballer, Pele also known as ‘King Pele’, has revealed that he recently underwent a surgery to remove a tumor from his colon.

The football legend made this known via a post he recently made on his Instagram page on Monday, September 6th, 2021.

Taking to Instagram, Pele expressed his gratitude to almighty God and the medical personnels.

He also said he is very sure that he will face this his present situation with a smile on his face.

My friends, thank you very much for the kind messages. I thank God for feeling very well and for allowing Dr. Fábio and Dr. Miguel to take care of my health. Last Saturday I underwent surgery to remove a suspicious lesion in the right colon. The tumor was identified during the tests I mentioned last week.
