Photos from the mass burial of Madonna University students who were burnt to death in road accident
The remains of eight Madonna University students from Elele, Rivers State, who died in a car accident on their way to Taraba State from Port Harcourt, have been laid to rest.
The incident occurred on Saturday, February 18, at the TTC/Special Science School junction in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, as students were returning home from school in preparation for the upcoming general election.
Seven other students reportedly survived the incident with varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to Ebonyi State’s Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital.
On Tuesday morning, February 21, a mass burial was held at the Magami Christian Cemetery in Jalingo, Taraba State’s capital.
Tony Matinjah, a Facebook user, identified one of the victims as his brother, Amamzala Donald Matinjah, a 300-level Optometry student.
