Members of popular Nigerian hip hop and R&B music group “Plantashun Boiz”, 2baba, BlackFace, and Faze have finally reunited after 17 years.

The reunion and peacekeeping were made on Saturday, July 24th at the memorial of Nigerian icon, Sound Sultan, who died on the 11th of July, 2021 after being diagnosed with throat cancer.

Plantashun Boiz made peace during Sound Sultan’s elder brother, Eldee’s tribute where he urged the members of the group to make peace while they’re alive, as life can be fleeting.

He further encouraged them to act in the spirit of forgiveness, oneness, love, and all that Sound Sultan represents.

In his words;

“In the spirit of everything that sound sultan represents, this day makes the beginning of a new spirit of love, forgiveness, oneness, perfection in our hearts and may we leave an example to the world at large that no matter how bad it is, it can be made well, it can be made to be good. Thank you Sound Sultan, rest in peace.”

Plantashun Boiz split back in 2004 after 2Baba, who wanted to pursue a solo career on the Kennis Music label, left the group. This didn’t go down well with the other members of the group but they moved on and released their individual albums.
