“Please we are tired” — IG influencer Ashmusy reveals why she rejected N20m for a politician post

Popular Instagram influencer Ashmusy has stirred up a lot of discussion after admitting that she turned down N20 million from a politician who wanted her to use her connections in the entertainment sector to campaign for him.

In an interview with her colleague, comedian Ada Jesus, Ashmusy, who has been linked to an affair with politician Dino Melaye, claimed that she turned down the alluring sum of money because the candidate is someone that she and other Nigerians do not want.

Prior to the upcoming presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25, 2023, Ashmusy, who also doubles as a skitmaker, announced this via the insta-stories section of her verified Instagram page.

According to Ashmusy, she came to the realization that it was wrong for her to sell her soul for money in a nation where the wealthy are even worse off than the poor.

Confessing about how she said a big “No”, Ashmusy wrote,

“Confession-I got offers of 10m to 20m for a (one) political post… (for the other candidate that we don’t want)

It was tempting won’t lie.. But realizing I’m gonna be selling my soul to the devil.. realizing My children, grandchildren, family, Loved ones will be in the country suffering !! Because I made the ST id decision to post/vote for the wrong person… I said a BIG NO!
