Popular Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga, has advised his fans to back up their prayers with work.

Taking to his social media handle, the “Motivation” crooner intimated that poverty is not fought with prayers, anointing oil, and fasting but by finding means to survive and working hard.

He went further to advised his fans to get something doing and not allow themselves to be influenced by the sweet words of some malicious men of God.

He wrote;

No let all this pastor run u streets oh Poverty no dey die by fire go find update

In Africa, it is very typical for people to seek God’s intervention before engaging in any work. Most people prefer to wait upon the Lord for directions instead of going out there and getting busy with their jobs.

Most Christians rely totally on the words of God which is not bad but it is also very essential to look for other means of survival while asking the Lord for guidance and protection.
