Davido has spoken out about the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, saying he and his wife, Chioma, did not deserve it.
In an interview with CNN, the 30-year-old singer revealed that his recent album was heavily influenced by his grief over the loss of his son. He acknowledged that the love and support he received from his family, friends, and fans enabled him to return to the music scene after taking a break to grieve.
Davido expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he received, saying it gave him the strength to get back up and pursue his passion for music.
“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I really had to calm myself down and take a step back,” he explained.
