Grammy award winner, Wizkid’s smashing tune, “Essence” featuring fellow Nigerian singer, Tems, has been nominated for ‘song of the year’ at the Soul Train awards scheduled to hold at the end of this month.

The summer jam was also nominated for Video of The Year, The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award and Best Collaboration.

This year’s nominees list is headed by H.E.R who grabbed with nominations including Album of the Year and Best R&B/Soul Female Artist. Jasmine Sullivan and Chris Brown are just behind H.E.R with six nominations each.
