Wizkid, a Grammy Award-winning Nigerian musician, has finally responded to dancehall rapper Shatta Wale’s rantings.

Recall that during his Freedom Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium, Shatta Wale erupted in rage, berating his Nigerian peers, particularly Wizkid. He chastised a number of Nigerian artists for failing to support Ghanaian artists.

Stop comparing Shatta Wale to Wizkid and other Nigerian musicians, he said, since he can fill a stadium too, and he doesn’t need Nigerians or Americans to succeed in music. Many Nigerians were offended by his remark, and they turned to Twitter to attack Shatta Wale.

Wizkid retaliated to Shatta Wale’s rantings by giving a terrific performance at the sold-out event he headlined in Ghana. He claims that he is unconcerned about where and who people come from, the color of their skin, or their origins. What matters to him is that they are all one group of people.

Wizkid Said:

Listen Ghana, I got a message for you tonight. Me, I don’t care if you are black, white, or even blue or purple. I don’t give a fuck, I will show you the same love I show my brother or my sister, yeah. And I want you guys to understand something menh, it’s one Africa, menh. We move together in numbers, baby. And I want you guys to know it….”
