“See You In 2021” – Dead Fela Kuti Twitter Page Wishes Fans Happy Holidays

The late Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, composer, political activist, and Pan-Africanist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has shocked his fans and other social media users after his Twitter page came alive to wish his followers a happy new year.

Fela Kuti, who was one of the best and well known as a pioneer of the Afrobeat genre, a blend of traditional Yoruba and Afro-Cuban music with funk and jazz, died in August 1997 after he developed some complications from the AIDS-related virus. His funeral was graced with over 1 million personalities.

At the height of his popularity, he was referred to as one of Africa’s most “challenging and charismatic music performers” as ‘AllMusic’ described him as “a musical and sociopolitical voice” of international significance. He was born on October 15, 1938, in Abeokuta, Nigeria.

Well, the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti Twitter page has wished his followers a happy new year and has told them he will see them in 2021.
