Amaarae‘s smashing tune, ‘Sad Girls Luv Money’ featuring fellow Ghanaian singer, Moliy debuted at number 80 on US Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female Afrobeats act to debut a solo single on the chart.

Her debut on the US Billboard Hot 100 did not just make her the first Female afrobeats act but also the first Ghanaian to appear on the chart.

Released in 2020 off Amaarae’s debut album, “Sad Girlz Luv Money” achieved viral popularity on TikTok after a remix featuring American singer Kali Uchis was released on September 16, 2021.

So far, the song has appeared on various international charts and currently hold the top spot on the US Shazam chart, displacing Ckay‘s smashing tune, ‘Love Nwantiti’ in the process.
