Barbadian singer and businesswoman, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, better known as Rihanna has revealed that she is originally from the Igbo tribe in Africa, precisely Nigeria.

Recalling that the “Diamond” crooner recently joined the billionaires family thanks to her Fenty empire.

The news of her joining the billionaires family, was made known by American business magazine, Forbes, in a lengthy post they shared via their official Instagram page.

They wrote;

When Robyn Fenty, known to the world as Rihanna, launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, she sought to create a cosmetics company that made “women everywhere (feel) included.” A perhaps unintended consequence: The beauty line has helped her enter one of the world’s most exclusive ranks: Billionaire. Rihanna is now worth $1.7 billion, Forbes estimates—making her the wealthiest female musician in the world and second only to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer.

In fresh development, Rihanna has sparked reactions from social media users especially Nigerians after she revealed that her mother once told her that she is originally an ‘Igbo’ woman.
