Singer, Seun Kuti Breaks Silence After he was Released from Prison

Seun Kuti, a singer from Nigeria, has used social media to express his gratitude to the group of people who advocated for his release from police detention after the security agency detained him a few days ago.

Remember that on May 15, the Lagos State Police department detained and arrested Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti after a video depicting the moment he struck a police officer on the street was posted online.

The Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore and others requested Seun Kuti’s release from prison as he was nonetheless detained and sent to court for trial.

Seun Kuti thanked people who had shown him love and his friends who had supported him throughout his incarceration and court case on his official Instagram story after being released from prison a short while ago.

Finally, the musician thanked his wife for standing by him during trying times.
