Sound Sultan Finally Laid To Rest In New Jersey

Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi professionally known as Sound Sultan has finally been laid to rest hours after he kicked the bucket.

The “Natural Something” crooner died on Sunday, July 11, 2021, after battling with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphomaa rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a group of related cancers that affect the lymphatic system.

His death was announced by a family member Dr Kayode Fasasi, through a statement he shared.

The statement reads;

“It is with heavy heart that we announce the death of multi -talented veteran singer, Rapper, Song Writer, Olarenwaju Fasasi AKA Sound Sultan.

“He passed away at the age of 44, following a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.

“He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.

“We, his family will appreciate utmost privacy as we come to grips with this tragic loss.”

Sound Sultan’s death threw many of his fans, colleague and loved ones into a state of shock and almost every fan of the singer has taken to their respective social media pages to pay their respect to him.

Sound Sultan was buried according to Islamic injunction at the Marlboro Muslim cemetery in New Jersey, USA, on Sunday, July 11th 2021.

The burial ceremony was attended by family members and some close friends and one could see how his family members broke down into tears as the remains of their beloved was being put into the pit to be covered.
