In Nigeria, the Yuletide season is always accompanied by a flurry of travels, with Nollywood legend Kanayo O. Kanayo and his colleagues returning to their ancestral homes after a long absence.
Finding amusement in the widespread practice of Nigerians abandoning the culture in which they grew up whenever they visit their ancestral homes, the veteran actor shared some hilarious advice.
“Stop forming when you arrive in your village, be local,” the movie legend advised while drinking and licking soup from a plate. Don’t tell me you’re a big boy from Lagos or Abuja; we drink and lick soup from a plate.”
