John Dumelo, a Ghanaian actor and politician, has criticized the Nigerian national men’s football team for failing to defeat Ghana in the 2022 world qualifying match on Friday.
The first leg of their World Cup playoff in Kumasi resulted in a goalless draw between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Ghana’s Black Stars.
Remember that before the game, he threatened to walk barefoot from Accra, Ghana to Lagos, Nigeria if the Nigerian team won.

In a post on his Instagram page shortly after the game finished in a tie, Dumelo insulted Nigeria’s team by rephrasing its nickname from Super Eagles to Super Chickens.
He added that he was very convinced that the Eguavoen-led team would lose the match.
“Dear super chickens, I was very confident you won’t win this game,” the actor wrote.
