The Igbos Has Once Again Had To Bleed In A Contest Between Three Yorubas -Chidi Mokeme Reacts
The governorship and state assembly elections that were held last week Saturday were marred by tribalism, according to a recent declaration by actor and director Chidi Mokeme.
He was considering current occurrences as well as the myths that some people have made up about certain ethnic groupings.
The actor expressed his views on social media, blasting the sudden appearance of the phrase “Igbo people” for everyone who isn’t Hausa or Yoruba and the idea that all allegedly Igbo people originate from Anambra state and pose a threat to everyone.
The actor went on to say that the Igbo people once more had to shed blood for a competition amongst three Yoruba rivals.
Chidi Mokeme wrote:
“Suddenly, All Non-Yoruba, Non-Hausa Persons Are IGBO. Suddenly, All IGBO Are From Anambra. Suddenly, All IGBO From Anambra Are A Threat. In A Contest Between Three Yoruba’s, The IGBO Have Once Again, Had To Bleed. But, It Didn’t Happen Suddenly.”
