Veteran American Rapper, Fat Joe, has reacted to the ongoing identity confusion between Nigeria’s BNXN formerly called Buju and Jamaican Artiste, Buju Banton.
Recall that the Nigerian music star used to be known as Buju, shared a video reintroducing himself to his fans as BNXN.. He made the announcement on Twitter and Instagram.
BNXN is actually pronounced as BENSON, but he prefers fans to write it as BNXN.
His old stage name and The Jamaican artist whose name is Buju Banton have been getting mixed up a lot on the internet.
The identity confusion is affecting BNXN’s career, streams and recognition.
Reacting to the stage name clash, Fat Joe in an interview made it crystal clear that the Jamaican Artist is the only Buju he knows and recognized.
His words;
“There is only one Buju, his name is Buju Banton and he is From Jamaica”
