“They Stole All the Money They Could Find”: Singer Yemi Alade Cries Out After Getting Robbed in Abidjan Hotel
Yemi Alade, a gifted singer from Nigeria, made headlines after she was robbed in her Abidjan hotel room of her possessions. The Johnny crooner informed her followers via her official Instagram page that all of her belongings had been seized by criminals.
Alade shared a video of herself on her Instagram page and wrote that the robbery occurred shortly after she left her room.
She claimed that some unidentified individuals searched her room and took all the cash they could find.
She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal: all the money they could find Very good”.
Some of her famous friends expressed their sympathy for her after she broke the news to them. BBNaija star Erica inquired as to whether the hotel management was taking any action, and Yemi responded:
“We are investigating it oh my dear, looking through cameras and all but I know that the money is all gone by now”.
Media personality, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, also asked Yemi Alade if the CCTV footage had been checked and to that the singer replied that the suspects were all denying.
She wrote: “smh! The suspects are all denying”
