VIDEO: I won’t mind dating Bobrisky – Starzzii
Starzzii, a fast-rising Nigerian singer, has declared that he has no objection to dating popular Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky.
In recent interviews with SilverbirdTV and the New Telegraph Newspaper, Starzzii, who recently released his fourth single, ‘Chill,’ revealed as much. Starzzii said a few lines about wanting to date Bobrisky and impregnating Tonto Dike in the song ‘Chill,’ which can now be streamed on all musical platforms and is being aired on radio in Nigeria, but later admitted that aside from singing the lyrics in his song, he truly loves the duo who used to be best friends.
Though the song’s lyrics may be interpreted as a PR gimmick, the Ogun State native, who now resides in Benue, says whatever people call it, it won’t stop him from wishing that his song will reunite Bobrisky and Tonto Dike as friends once more.
The vocalist, who is currently signed to E-Reseau Records, said he began his musical career as a drummer in his church choir when he was 12 years old, and from there he developed an interest in music.
Starzzii also mentioned that growing up wasn’t simple for him. He claimed that he and his siblings sold plantains and fish. “We had no choice but to do it in order to stay alive in the family.” ‘Mum, don’t worry, one day I will make you proud,’ I told her one day. I’ll remove the te*rs from your eyes.’ I’m very excited to keep that commitment I made to her.”
During those trying times, Starzzi claimed his most powerful drive was to wipe the tears from his family’s faces for suffering through so much just to survive.
